Leicester Tigers Lend Support to Kidney Care Appeal
Wednesday 1 November 2017
We are delighted to team up with one of our city’s major sporting institutions – the Leicester Tigers – to support our Kidney Care Appeal this season.
Leicester Hospitals Charity is fortunate enough to have been named one of the club’s four charity partners for the 2017/18 season, which will see the team support our campaign to raise funds for Kidney Care services across Leicester’s Hospitals.
It was a great pleasure to welcome Tigers players Manu Tuilagi, Logovi’i Mulipola, Dom Ryan and Tom Brady to the Haemodialysis Unit at the Leicester General Hospital in October.
Our patients and staff alike greatly enjoyed meeting our city’s rugby stars as they took time out from their busy training schedules to visit our hospital.
The players were also kind enough to sign official Kidney Care Appeal t-shirts in our Charity Office and take part in the filming of a special promotional video to raise awareness of the dangers of kidney disease that will be shown at Welford Road stadium during the team’s clash with Worcester on Christmas Eve.
You can read more about the Tigers’ visit on the Club’s official website.
