Woodhouse Eaves Village Hall
This circular route goes through some of Leicestershire's best countryside, including Beacon Hill Country Park and Bradgate Park, situated within both the Charnwood Forest and The National Forest.
This is an undulating route, mainly on public footpaths, bridleways and the occasional country lane.There will be several checkpoints en-route, at which free refreshments will be provided.
Note that if you wish to retire from the event at a checkpoint, transport back to the start/finish will be arranged.A short family walk (about 5 miles)
A shorter and flatter walk, with a later start. This is an event for which we invite entrants to raise money for local Scout Group. This event is aimed at families, though everybody is welcome. The only time you can do this route is on the May Day Challenge as it goes over private land we have permission to use on Monday 2 May only.
Start time 10:30. Entry fee £4 for individuals or £15 per family. All finishers will receive a medal.
All events start at the Woodhouse Eaves Village Hall, the main 13.5 mile event will finish here too, the sponsored walk finishes at the main event finish this year.
